8 Reason's Why A Woman's Wedding Day Is Her Greatest Fantasy
It is very rare to find a woman who hasn't watched "Cinderella" and dreamed about marrying her prince. By the time most women reach the age of 13, they have already planned out the details of their dream wedding.
There are specific motivators that help keep a dream wedding the number one fantasy for women, especially those women who find themselves actively engaged in the planning stages of a wedding well before their soul mate shows up.
Here are a few reasons why women fantasize about the big day:
She is treated like royalty for a day.
The queen is honored; everyone stands and cherishes her and compliments her on her beauty. For one special day, she doesn't have to be humble and shrink her existence to make room for other women to shine.
Today, she is the complete center of attention; a brief moment in time when the entire world stops and recognizes her existence and importance.
She believes it signals her "happily ever after."
Her first glimpse at the idea of romance is often introduced through fairytales when she is very young. These stories teach her one thing: One day, she will meet a man who will rescue her and take her away from where she is, off to a mysterious land that she has never seen but imagines is pretty spectacular. In essence, her happily ever after begins at that point.
She will be the most beautiful she has ever been.
For the average woman, there is only one time in her life that she will wear a gown as beautiful as the one she chooses for her wedding day.
By the time the big day arrives, she will have whipped her body into the perfect condition that she has always imagined it could be.
Her figure will be just right, accentuated by the most beautiful gown ever designed. Her hair will be soft, full and glossy.
There will not be a hair out of place, a loose thread or a hint of imperfection; even her pedicure will be especially shiny on this day.
On this day, she will be more glamorous than Beyoncé; her true beauty and radiance finally emerging for the world to admire.
She won't have to wonder IF it will ever happen.
The toughest part about fantasizing about a dream wedding and relationship is embracing the slight chance that it will never happen. Entertaining this idea soon becomes a fear for her, but that fear will be over once her magical day arrives.
She'll get to throw the party of the year.
William and Kate didn't do it nearly as well as she will. There may be servants and crystal or kegs and fireworks. There might be a choreographed dance with her groom or a party-wide electric slide contest.
Either way, this party will be the best party that anyone has ever attended and everyone she knows will talk about it for years to come
She'll have the most epic girls' night out with all of her besties.
Every woman appreciates having a friend who will be there when you need a shoulder to cry on, but there's nothing like standing triumphantly next to your friends when you are on the top of your game.
The night before her big day, she'll stand arm-in-arm with the women she cherishes most as they spend the evening laughing, joking, dancing and telling stories just like they did when they first met and became good friends.
It will be the girls' night out to end all girls' nights out because after this night, things will never be the same.
She is graduating to the next level in life.
Life is all about transition and this transition is one of the most important milestones in our culture. Not only does it signal the end of young adulthood, it also signals a new phase in life from which she can never return.
Her identity was rooted in her own choices, feelings and dreams, but now she will share an identity, essentially representing someone else in all she does. She won't simply be a Miss; she will become a Mrs. and in her eyes that is a step up in life.
She will finally receive a stamp of approval.
Dating can be rough on a woman's heart, mind and self esteem. After fumbling through so many mismatches, it is a wonder she doesn't give up completely as she wonders if there will be a match for her.
She may reject just as many people that reject her but that still doesn't take away the sting of a bad connection.
On her wedding day, she will stand proudly in front of everyone who cares about her as she looks into the eyes of the one promising to love her forever because she is just the right amount of everything wonderful.
On this day, she will know that she wasn't as fat as she thought she was, she wasn't as weird as she thought she was and she wasn't as crazy as she thought she was.
She'll have found her match; someone who isn't afraid to let everyone know that she is the most beautiful woman in the world. Alas, the rare jewel that she is, has finally been discovered and stamped as CHOSEN for the entire world to see.
