Love can blossom during the most inopportune times... like when a rush of beer is dribbling down your chin.

You see, though a fast-paced game of flip cup doesn't sound like it'd be the most romantic thing in the world, it was the perfect opportunity for Bryan Cross to spring a surprise proposal on his now fiancée (she said yes, obviously), Chelsea Maloney.

The two first came across each other back in 2010 during a quality game of flip cup at their alma mater, Florida State University.

Naturally, all that chugging made their memories a little hazy, so they parted ways after exchanging numbers, without even the slightest clue as to what each other's names were.

“Funny thing is that neither of us remembered each other's name so in his phone he saved my number as 'tailgate girl' and I saved his as 'flip cup kid',” Chelsea told HowHeAsked. “The next time a tailgate rolled around I got a text from 'flip cup kid' saying, 'Hey, tailgate girl, come tailgate today.'"

And so began the tailgate love story of our dreams.

Jump ahead to late 2016, where Chelsea and Bryan are back with close friends and family at Florida State University for a rivalry football game against the University of Florida.

Set up across from Bryan once again at yet another tailgate, Chelsea had no idea that this time around, the bottom of her red Solo cup was decorated with two powerful words (and a cute little heart): "Marry me?"

After securing her team's win with a final victory flip, Chelsea first noticed the text, and then, Bryan down on one knee with a ring in his hand.

“As you can tell by the shocked look on my face, I actually thought I was imagining it because it seemed too perfect!” Chelsea told HuffPost. “I had to process that this was actually written on the cup. Then once I looked at Bryan holding a box and everyone looking at me smiling, my thoughts were pretty much, 'No way is this really happening.'”

She added,

I couldn't control my tears of joy knowing that the man I loved most in the world wanted me to spend the rest of my life with him and that our dearest family and friends were there to be a part of this special moment.

Chelsea labeled the whole proposal "so perfect" as their relationship came full circle back in Tallahassee where they met. "And to top it off, Florida State won that night!" Chelsea told HowHeAsked.

The two have plans to officially tie the knot in April 2018, where, as expected, a full-blown groomsmen against bridesmaids game of flip cup will take place.

It doesn't get more romantic than that, folks.
