What It Means To Have A Gay Sex Dream When You're Straight

by Candice Jalili

This week we have Zach,* a straight man who finds himself having gay sex dreams about his best friend and his best friend's brother:

I have recently been having dreams of my best friend (let's call him Jay*) and his little brother, Dee.*
The first one I had was of Jay. I was with a couple of friends in an all-white, unknown house, when they, somehow, disappeared and left me alone with Jay. He and I ended up undressed, I gave a blowjob and then, we proceeded to make out extremely passionately. The dream then ended. The next dream I had was with Jay's younger brother, Dee. It was night, and we were in the garden of a mutual friend's house. Dee was walking backwards in front of me feeling my crotch while I felt his. He then said he usually doesn't allow others to do this. The dream ended.
Dee was walking backwards in front of me feeling my crotch while I felt his.
My third dream was with Dee again. We were in his brother's bedroom, feeling each other's crotches. I ended up throwing him onto the bed and ripping his clothes off before giving a blowjob, then receiving one. I lubed him up and proceeded to penetrate him. Jay walked in on us.
My final dream was with both Dee and Jay. I was getting busy with Jay in his bedroom, and after penetrating him, Dee walked asked if he could join in. Jay penetrated Dee and then, I penetrated Jay. The three of us continued to penetrate each other. At one point, I had the two of them on their backs and alternated between them before giving them blowjobs. I then sat on their chests and face-fucked them. I gave them both facials and then, continued giving them blowjobs before they got busy together again. Then, they turned to me and gave me a facial.

Here's Lauri's interpretation:

The detail in these dreams is impressive and, admittedly, has me blushing quite a bit! The all-white house in the first dream tells us that these series of dreams are connected to something new in your life: Maybe a new development, a new feeling or thought pattern or perhaps even a new beginning. Have you developed new feelings for these two guys? If so, then you are safely exploring your desires through these dreams.
You are safely exploring your desires through these dreams.
If not, and these dreams seem to be coming out of nowhere, then there may be something about these two that you desire. Do they have a close relationship, and do you desire that same sort of bond with your sibling(s)? Are they well off, and do you desire that lifestyle?
There may be something about these two that you desire.
There are a couple clues in these dreams that should help us narrow it down. Dee tells you he doesn't allow others to do this. That tells me that there is something in real life that is causing you to feel privileged or singled out. There is also a lot of oral in these dreams, and that usually points to deep and intimate conversation in real life. Have you had a recent conversation with these two that has brought you all closer or made you feel a certain connection with them?
Oh! Let's not forget to touch on the incest factor here... dreams communicate with us in symbols and metaphors so when a moral line is crossed, it is a byproduct of dream language. In your case, it's not so much about the incest between brothers but more about your desire to have something they have.
So don't sweat it.

I get why having these dreams would freak Zach out.

They're so detailed, and I can only imagine how awkward he must of felt during any subsequent hangouts with the two brothers.

It must be a relief to hear Lauri say that this isn't that big of a deal after all. It doesn't mean he's gay, and it doesn't mean he has a weird thing for incest.

No, it just means they have something he desires.

Seems pretty harmless and normal to me.
