Grooms Admit The Crazy Ways They're Going To Surprise The Bride At The Wedding

Some say the point of endlessly planning your wedding day to the T is so you can then relax and dance the night away besides your hubby, friends and family members you only get to see a handful of times in your life.

You work your butt off to make sure your vendors are booked and paid for, flower arrangements are approved weeks in advance and the dress fits like a glove before showtime, all in order to avoid any surprises.

But what if your groom-to-be has something up his sleeve for you? If you think he's not planning something of his own for the big day, you might be wrong.

Here are six grooms who kindly admitted to us the secret ways they plan to surprise their bride on the wedding day.

1. By hiring a magician during cocktail hour.

I kept trying to tell my fiancée how boring cocktail hour is going to be. Like, all the guests are going to want to get drunk and eat, but not get drunk and eat while talking about boring stuff with each other. So, I took it upon myself to hire a magician. He's going to blend in with the guests and surprise them with tricks. She has no idea, and I'm wondering if she'll laugh or call security to escort him out.

 2. By doing an outfit change at the reception.

We're having an outdoor wedding this summer and it's going to be 98 degrees. I'm wearing a tux, and it's so uncomfortable. How the hell am I supposed to have fun when I'm sweating so much? I bought a speedo that looks like a tuxedo and plan to change into that during the last hour of the wedding. I figure everyone will be drunk enough to think it's funny and not creepy.

 3. With a flash mob during the ceremony.

Mid-ceremony when the pastor asks me to read my vows, I'm going to suddenly pretend to forget them and get all nervous. That's when my best man is going to run toward me, hand me a sheet of paper and begin the giant, dancing flash mob. We have 15 wedding guests involved and learning the dance right now. I can't wait to do it and watch her freak out in a good way, I hope?

 4. By going MIA before the ceremony.

We joke about her getting cold feet and ditching me on the wedding day. It's our little joke. I'm planning on going MIA for three hours before the ceremony. I think it'll be funny to be the runaway groom and play into our inside joke!

 5. By having a whiskey bar during the party.

My fiancée and I are paying for the wedding on our own, so we have cut costs a lot. We're not having any flowers, and we got a friend to DJ for $300. I'm a big whiskey drinker. All I wanted at the wedding was a whiskey bar for the guys. She said no because it was going to cost us, like, $1,500. I wanted it so bad, so I took money out of my personal savings account and paid for it. She has no idea I did this, and I'm hoping she won't even notice on the wedding day.

 6. By inviting more peeps to the wedding.

She wanted our guest list to be 75 people, which meant I was only able to invite five friends. What a joke. I secretly invited 20 guys from college to "stop by" the wedding after dinner is served. By then, who cares? They can eat whatever is leftover and just party.
