What Guys Really Mean When They Say A Girl Is 'Down-To-Earth'

Dudes always tell me I'm not "down-to-earth."

Whenever they say that, I'm all, "What? You think my tendency to self-sabotage, invade the personal space of others and generally strive to lead a life resembling a soap opera means I'm not down-to-earth?! SHEESH!"

Maybe those are exactly the characteristics they're referring to, or maybe they're not — because men have different definitions of what "down-to-earth" actually means.

I may not be very down-to-earth (ahem, according to some of these definitions), but it seems like these days, that's a very vague, umbrella term that can be in reference to a lot of different personality traits.

So, if being drama-free isn't in your nature, don't sweat it. The right guy for you may still love your "down-to-earth" vibe for totally different reasons that it's OK to never fully understand!
