That Tinder Couple Finally Went To Hawaii And We're Pretty Sure They're Never Hanging Again

Remember those adorable students from Kent State, Josh Avsec and Michelle Arendas, who matched on Tinder and kept up the same running sarcastic joke for three years? Remember when Tinder loved the whole thing so much that they sent the two lovebirds to Hawaii for a weekend? Remember when they met on Good Morning America for the first time before their trip, and it was the cutest thing you ever saw in your life?

Well, they finally went on that Hawaii trip. And of course, we're all wondering, was it love? Was this the ultimate romantic beginning of the rest of their beautiful, magical lives together? Will they gather their grandchildren around the dinner table one day, wistfully recalling memories of that time Michelle fell while paddle boarding, and Josh started a splash fight that led to their first kiss in the Pacific?

Eh. Probably not.

Good Morning America tagged along with the couple as they vacationed at the Grand Wailea Resort in Maui, following them with cameras as they cast a wish at a mermaid fountain, went on a bike ride, and sipped drinks by the pool. The trip did look fun, but when asked if there was going to be a second date, both of them had very different answers:

Josh: "With everything going on, it's been kind of hard to talk about the little things, like when we do go back, but I'm pretty sure — she's so much fun, I know once we get back home, we're gonna wanna meet up again."

Michelle: "We don't have any concrete plans yet, but I'm sure our paths will cross once we get back."

Lol. "I'm sure our paths will cross once we get back" is a nicer version of "I'll let you know," which is what I say when I want someone to kindly leave me alone forever.

It's OK, Josh. Your soulmate is out there. It's just probably not Michelle.
