All right, so you're scrolling through OkCupid, and you come across the profile of this super hot dude. He looks like a slightly less hot version of Channing Tatum which, in the real world, translates to a hard 10. You'll take it. The two of you match, the conversation starts flowing, and the chemistry is palpable. So naturally, you two lovebirds decide to go on a date. The chemistry is even better in person until... he decides to mention he doesn't support Planned Parenthood, and your date with who you thought was your soulmate comes to a screeching halt. But thankfully, OkCupid's Planned Parenthood Badge makes it so that you never have to waste your time "getting to know" someone before finding out they don't support the same important cause you do ever again.

What is OkCupid's Planned Parenthood Badge, you ask? Well, as anyone who's ever used OkCupid will tell you, the dating app is different from others like Tinder and Bumble in that it has you fill out a questionnaire before getting into the matching process. You answer the questions, and the app's algorithm helps match you with people you'll actually be interested in.

One of the questions on the questionnaire is actually "Should the government defund Planned Parenthood?" And with the new feature, men who responded to that question with a "no" will get a badge on their profiles that states "#IStandWithPP."

So now, when you're scrolling through your OkCupid app, and you come across the profile of the super hot dude who looks like a slightly less hot version of Channing Tatum, and you don't see the #IStandWithPP badge on his profile, you can stop wasting your time with the flirty banter and the date you spent longer than you'd like to admit getting ready for, and swipe left on that sucker.

Similarly, if you don't believe the government should fund Planned Parenthood, you can use the app's new feature to find a match who also doesn't believe that. The point is, no matter who you are or what you believe, it's now easier than ever to find someone who shares your beliefs when it comes to reproductive rights. And I mean, call me old-fashioned here, but I'd say it's pretty important that your significant other is on the same page as you are when it comes to the state of your ovaries.

Of the partnership, OkCupid's Chief Marketing Officer, Melissa Hobley, explained,

OkCupid's partnership with Planned Parenthood is really exciting because it enables us to help people connect on the issues that matter to them. In this current climate, this matters more than ever when it comes to finding 'your person.' We know that Planned Parenthood is driving conversations, support and education that millions care about. When we looked at the data, we saw that our community on OkCupid was talking about Planned Parenthood...so we decided to make it easy to find the folks who cared about the same thing.

Dawn Laguens, executive vice president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, is also pretty pumped about the partnership.

Knowing your prospective date supports equal rights, access to reproductive health care and the best, evidence-based sex education is undeniably sexy, and OkCupid's new Planned Parenthood badge will let users see that immediately. At Planned Parenthood, we are continually looking for innovative approaches to get people the information and care they need to lead healthy lives and achieve their goals – whether that's on their phones or in a health center.

So, no matter what your stance, OkCupid is giving you a chance to really connect with someone who shares the same core values as you, which is something we should all be searching for.
