Why Pisces And Scorpio's Unbeatable Chemistry Isn't Meant To Last

by Rosey Baker

Pisces and Scorpio are the eternal one-night stand.

There is literally no connection in the zodiac more passionate, fast or furious than the connection between a Pisces and Scorpio.

They're sexy in an extremely volatile, constantly interesting, mostly drunken kind of way.

It's the kind of chemistry that requires a sobering up period (both literally and figuratively) because the combination of these signs is susceptible to an overindulgence in alcohol and drugs.

That said, even if they've never touched alcohol, the sex they have is addictive AF.

From the outside, it would be hard to notice any rift between these two. They seem absolutely meant for each other.

They have an ability to implicitly understand what the other is thinking, coupled with a curiosity about one another that feeds their erotic appetites and makes their relationship hard to forget years, even decades, after it's ended.

They tend to save all the drama of their fights for a more private setting, and thank God they do because when they fight, they are animals.

In public, their actions and words might seem innocuous, but underneath them are malicious intentions that only the couple understands.

If one so much as looks at another attractive prospect, it won't go unnoticed or unmentioned.

Pisces and Scorpio are insanely possessive of one another, and while it's all very real, the drama of it feeds into their somewhat fatal attraction.

They fight, they fuck, they kiss and they make up. Rinse and repeat.

Together, they deliver each other the kind of orgasms that could knock you unconscious.

Pisces can give Scorpio a real friend, someone they can trust with their deepest secrets (and they are full of secrets).

In turn, Scorpio can give Pisces a sense of stability, a friend that is such a standard of strength that the Pisces doesn't have to fear falling into depression.

Ask any Pisces about their Scorpio ex-lover, and the otherwise shy Pisces will gush for hours.

Ask a Scorpio about their ex-lover Pisces, and this otherwise fiercely outspoken and opinionated sign might not speak to you for months.

Unfortunately, their compatibility in the sack never quite transfers into everyday life. Take Liz Taylor and Richard Burton, arguably the most famous Scorpio-Pisces match of all time, who were married twice, divorced twice.

In his diaries, Burton (a Scorpio) wrote of Taylor (a Pisces),

I have been inordinately lucky all my life but the greatest luck of all has been Elizabeth. She has turned me into a moral man but not a prig, she is a wildly exciting lover-mistress, she is shy and witty, she is nobody's fool [...] she can tolerate my impossibilities and my drunkenness, she is an ache in the stomach when I am away from her, and she loves me!

While the shared sensitivity between Pisces and Scorpio makes their connection work, that heightened sensitivity prevents them from functioning as a pair.

In fact, in a letter to Burton after they remarried, Liz Taylor wrote,

Dearest Hubs, How about that! You really are my husband again, and I have news for thee, there bloody will be no more marriages — or divorces, either. Yours truly, Wife.

Scorpio and Pisces' relationship is the kind of love that people write books, films and plays about. It's possibly because that's where their love belongs: on the stage.

It's important to note, though, that just because they don't work out doesn't mean their connection is forgotten.

The connection between Scorpio and Pisces lasts forever, long after they say good-bye because the relationship is so impossible to forget.
