Science Confirms Most People Have Morning Sex At This Time, So Set Your Alarm

I've said it once, and I'll say it a thousand times: Nothing beats morning sex.

BUT, I would like to make an addendum to this statement.

Nothing beats morning sex... on a weekend, when you have NOWHERE TO BE and all your favorite spots are SERVING BRUNCH.

No work + morning sex + eggs Benedict = BEST DAY EVER. It's basic math.

And basically, I'm a genius because science confirms I'm right.

In anticipation of Valentine's Day coming up, a survey, commissioned by Superdrug, went out to 2,000 Brits and revealed 9 am on Sunday mornings is the most popular time to get down and dirty.

Contrastingly, 9 pm on Tuesday evenings is apparently everyone's least favorite time to get frisky.

Sex expert Alix Fox had some ideas as to why 9 am on Sunday was so popular, saying, "I'm not at all surprised that Sunday mornings are such a popular slot for sexiness: people are relaxed, and have more time on their hands."

Here are the top 10 best and worst times to have sex, according to those surveyed:

The 10 most popular times to have sex:

Sunday: 9 am Saturday: 10:30 pm Saturday: 11:30 pm Friday: 10:30 pm Saturday: 10:30 am Saturday: 11:30 am Friday: 10:30 pm Saturday: 11:15 pm Saturday: 9:30 pm Sunday: 9:30 pm

The 10 least popular times to have sex:

Monday: 8:15 pm Monday: 7:30 pm Tuesday: 5:30 pm Tuesday: 9 pm Thursday: 8 am Thursday: 7:30 pm Monday: 8 am Wednesday: 7:30 am Friday: 5 pm Saturday: 5 pm

The survey also revealed some other steamy details, including that alcohol did not play a key role in couples' desires to have sex.

In reality, the most popular PRE-sex activities were a romantic meal, watching TV, talking intimately with your lover, going to a bar or hanging out with friends... even though most of these are kind of impractical in the early Sunday morning hours.

Furthermore, 2014 research from Lovehoney.com showed humans are way more keen to get down in the summer than during all the other seasons in the year.

In fact, two-thirds of respondents named summer the sexiest time of the year, followed by winter with 16 percent, spring with 14 percent and autumn with 4 percent, which is dumb because autumn is my JAM.

You know I look fine in my flannel, sipping my Pumpkin Spice Latte, rocking a scarf and wearing them booties.

Anyway, set your alarms this weekend and get down with your bad selves.
