Women Hate Shaving So Much, We'd Give Up Sex For A Month To Get Out Of It

Being in a relationship is a wonderful thing for a million and one reasons (you know, love and support and all that fun stuff).

But there's one SUCKY thing about it, and that's regularly shaving (if that's what you choose to do, of course).

First of all, it takes forever. Second, you have to deal with razor burn, ingrown hairs and all that other nasty, painful stuff. And, finally, there's the whole "IT'S CONSTANTLY GROWING BACK" factor.

So if you hate all of those things with a passion, rest assured you're not alone. A recent study of 1,000 millennial women conducted by Nair and Kelton Global looked into just how much women really hate shaving.

Spoiler: It's a lot.

Why we hate shaving so much

Women in the survey were allowed to list multiple reasons to explain why they hated shaving so much, and it all boiled down to three reasons.

A whopping 72 percent of us ladiez agreed that shaving is the freaking worst because the hair grows back too quickly.

This was followed by a pretty large 56 percent of us who complained that it was too time consuming.

Finally, the least popular (or most hipster, depending on how you look at it) reason to hate shaving (44 percent) was that it irritates the skin.

And honestly, I'm with the 44 percent here. Shaving is an absolute NIGHTMARE for my sensitive skin.

The parts of our body we hate shaving the most

OK, so we've established that shaving sucks in general, but are there any parts of our bodies that suck to shave more than the rest?

While the study did find slight variations in these numbers when they factored in ethnicity, the general consensus was that most women (72 percent) named the bikini line the most annoying area to shave.

This was followed closely by my personal least favorite, the armpits, at 58 percent and the legs at 52 percent.

What we'd give up to stop shaving

In what seems like the ULTIMATE round of "Would You Rather?" the researchers asked people what they'd give up if it meant they never had to shave, wax, use Nair or do any other body hair removal process for a year.

I hate coffee, so I can't really relate to this one, but almost half of the respondents (48 percent) agreed that they would quit drinking coffee for a month if it meant they didn't have to shave or deal with any hair removal.

Next, it was Netflix on the chopping block with 44 percent of respondents saying they'd give that up (which TBH, I'm fine with because I'm more of a Hulu person anyway).

38 percent of the ladies said they'd even quit the selfies and fun group pics by giving up social media for an entire month.

But the most interesting stat to me was that 39 percent of women admitted they would GIVE UP SEX for 30 days.

Yep, that's right. Thirty-nine percent of women hate shaving so freaking much, they're willing to sacrifice making SWEET, TENDER LOVE just to stop dealing with hit.

So if you hate shaving THIS much, maybe it's time to just... stop.

The survey made women choose between all these awesome things and shaving, but the truth is, in the real world, YOU DON'T HAVE TO CHOOSE ONE OR THE OTHER. You can have sex, drink coffee, watch Netflix, post all your fav pics on Insta and still have hairy legs.

If your partner has a problem with it, then maybe it's time to find a new one. But as long as whatever you do to your body is for you, then carry on, ladies.
