10 Things Every Girl In The Dating Pool Has Said At Least Once

Kristen Curette

We've all had our fair share of life-love drama, whether we're single AF, on the edge of a breakup or in the honeymoon phase. Been there, done that, as I would say. There tends to be common trends between our relationships with others, even if all relationships aren't the same.

That being said, here are a few things we've all probably uttered at some point during the trials and tribulations of our relationship lives:

1. I don't want a boyfriend.

Lately I've been saying this on the regular because I'm in the "be a badass and slay every day" phase, but I know I'm not the only one guilty of saying this phrase at least once. I believe it's important to spend some time alone, and worry about you and only you. You have the rest of your life to spend with someone.

2. I'm dying alone.

I'm guilty as charged with this one. Everyone deserves to be loved by a significant other, but maybe now isn't your time. Take this time to focus on you, and when the time is right the right person will come along. Don't worry; you're not the only one that thinks you're going to be 80 and single.

3. I'm becoming a cat lady.

The guy you had been seeing just did something dumb and you're beginning to wonder why you're even trying at all. Personally, I'm more of a dog girl, but I still say this line almost every other day. Guys mature slower than us ladies, so give them some time to catch up. I promise there are good ones out there.

4. The term CRAZY.

This term is used more often than it should be, but let's be honest: We've all been with guys who seem on the edge of looney. Whether it be their jealously or way of handling a breakup, we've all had at least one guy we've referred to in this sense. Don't get me wrong; this word goes both ways. Keep that in mind.

5. I don't want to play these games.

Love isn't a game, but some think it is. The constant wondering who will text first or if you'll ever define your relationship. If he wants to be with you he will, no doubt about it. Don't wait around for someone who can't make a decision. There shouldn't be hesitation.

6. I'm not texting him first.

Ladies, grow a pair and just text him. Don't be excessive, but sending a “hey” won't kill you. Personally, I'm tired of waiting around for these boys to grow up. Take charge of your own life. If he doesn't text you back, it's on to the next one.

7. His loss, not mine.

Girl power! You're awesome and don't ever let a guy believe you aren't. If he walked away from you then let him, it might hurt but don't look back. You can't move onto the future while holding onto the past. Learn from your mistakes and take it as a lesson.

8. I can't wait to get married.

I watch way too much "Say Yes to the Dress" and now I always picture my big day. Marriage is a big step in an individual's life, so it's something to look forward to. What girl doesn't want to get dressed up and have a day all about her? Can you blame me?

9. I'm a lucky girl.

One day you will find the right guy, and when you do, you'll be a lucky girl. When you have something special, hold onto it. We all deserve to be happy and share our happiness with another.

LAST but not least…

10. I'm happy.

We all want to find happiness. Some find happiness in others, while some are content with Netflix on the couch alone. Whatever it may be, you'll find pure bliss one day. Being able to say this statement is a great feeling, even if it took a lot of ups and downs to get here.
