These Are The 6 Types Of Women Who Should Never Date A Leo Man

by Clair Jones

I am a strong-willed, sassy Taurus, and I pretty much exclusively date Leos.

This isn't something I've chosen In fact, it can be a major pain in the ass, but I just can't stay away.

Leos are known for being passionate, loving partners who embody the Lion not only with their prideful and cocky demeanor, but also with their power and prowess at the office and in the bedroom.

Many women (Pick me!) absolutely adore the loyal Leo, but there are some ladies who predictably clash with romantic partners of this zodiac sign.

If you fall into any of the following categories, steer clear of the Leo, or prepare yourself for some heated arguments:

1. If you need a low-maintenance relationship.

Leos can be needy and moody, and they generally require an exhausting amount of reassurance. A Leo lover will want to spend lots of time with you, especially in the honeymoon stage when you first begin dating seriously.

He might not understand or respect your need for “me" time.

Leos feed off of your praise and approval, and their inner cub definitely comes out when they feel vulnerable. One Leo I dated insisted that I tell him I love him and give him a kiss every morning before I left for work.

Sounds sweet enough, but when a man-baby is chasing you down the hallway in his boxers demanding his morning display of affection, even though you are late for an important meeting, it's not so cute. Trust me.

2. If you can't stand cockiness.

Leos are proud, charismatic and strong-willed. While self-confidence is attractive, Leos sometimes take it overboard and can come off as condescending and full of themselves.

Taking a Leo to a party is fun because they are great conversationalists and have an uncanny ability to make others feel interesting and appreciated.

But, their charisma can easily turn into boasting or one-upping. If someone insults him, get ready for an ugly night.

3. If you're hyper-logical and base decisions solely on facts.

Leos are emotional creatures. While they are ruled by the sun and are usually very happy and upbeat, when they are upset, they let it be known.

They're notoriously passionate and can get into some pretty fiery arguments. If you are more logical and prefer calm discussions to long, emotionally-charged debates, a Leo might be too intense for you.

The way they communicate might also confuse you, as they are ruled more by their heart than their head.

Leos tend to be voracious lovers. If you are not a sexual person, you might be annoyed by a Leo's insistence.

Keep in mind that sexual compatibility varies a lot based on your actual zodiac sign dates. Leos can have varying ascending and rising signs that affect how they express themselves.

If you're really interested in nerding out, there's a whole new level of research you can explore.

4. If you want to be the dominant partner.

The Lion is the king of the jungle, and Leos tend to be alpha males. They like leading others, making plans and driving ideation in the office and at home.

They are also very protective, which can either come off as considerate or overbearing and even controlling, depending on the situation.

Leos also don't take no for an answer. When they want something, they are relentless and can be super annoying if you are also a stubborn person, like me.

If you like to be the one calling all the shots, you might not appreciate the take-charge attitude of the Leo.

Either way, you should be prepared to stand your ground and demand to be heard. Otherwise, this zodiac sign may walk all over you.

5. If you don't appreciate directness.

Leos have no problem telling you when they don't agree with something, and they usually express themselves in strong language. If you need your partner to sugar-coat criticism, a Leo might not be your cup of tea.

Leos will always tell it like it is, even if it might be uncomfortable or hurtful. They will also expect you to be direct, so if you are reserved, you may feel out of your element.

If you don't appreciate it when someone tells you when you have mustard on your face, smell bad,or are being an asshole, Leos will probably insult you every time.

But, they take it just as readily as they dish it out. So don't be afraid to be assertive and give them a dose of their own harsh medicine.

6. If you don't enjoy being social.

While there are definitely some Leos who are introverted, most are social butterflies who are the life of the party. If you can't keep up (or don't want to), they may be a poor match for you.

They get satisfaction and personal worth from their social relationships. Better make sure you like his friends because you're going to be seeing A LOT of them.

I'm an introvert, and I actually appreciate the Leos I've dated, even though I am not super social. They've brought me out of my shell.

But if you legit don't enjoy going out and get annoyed if your partner wants to socialize without you, dating a Leo is probably an accident waiting to happen.

While I would heartily suggest that every woman try dating a Leo at least once in her search for a partner, some personalities are bound to clash with the prideful, passionate and affection-seeking nature of the lion.

If any of these personality traits ring true for you, it might be best to steer clear of that charming Leo.

But if he has you in his sights, odds are, he will do everything in his power to convince you he's the only man you want to date,
