Where Is Rachel's Dad? 'Bachelorette' Contestants Won't Meet Him This Season

Tonight, our main girl Rachel took home her final three contestants to meet her parents.

Included in the gang, we meet Rachel's mom, sisters, and friends, but one person is missing. You guys, where is Rachel's dad on The Bachelorette?

Here's the thing, America! Rachel Lindsay's father is a District Judge for the Northern District of Texas, with a chamber in Dallas. This means he has a strict no TV, no public appearances and definitely no Bachelorette cameo policy.

How lucky for the guys, because THAT sounds like an intimidating man. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly that aired ahead of the season, Chris Harrison explained why we wouldn't hear from (or meet), Rachel's dad:

With his job and what he does, he just can't. He was a big part of the show but off-camera. It kind of changed things; we had to do some things in Dallas and kind of switch things around a little bit because he plays such a big part in her life and family's such a big part — we wanted to include that even if we couldn't show some of it on television.

Rach is currently down to three dudes. Peter, Eric, and our main boy's-boy, Bryan, are all competing for Rachel's heart, and doing their best to impress her family in hopes of being the one to take home the final rose.

Peter was up first, having had an awkward but, somehow successful conversation with Rachel's mother, mentioning how he isn't sure he will be ready to propose in two weeks, but, like, maybe he will be???

The real plot twist, however, was that Rachel's mom totally dug it. She seemed to appreciate his honesty and respect his transparency on where he's at emotionally. She also mentioned that Rachel's father would appreciate his feelings as well.

Still, HOW CAN WE KNOW WHO SHOULD WIN WITHOUT HER DAD THERE TO WEIGH IN?!

Rachel's mom also mentioned to Peter how Rachel grew up looking at her happily married parents, and of course, will likely want that for herself. The big takeaway? Whoever wins better be the real deal.

Of course, Rachel has made this clear herself. She has said over and over again that she is ready for someone who knows what they want, and for that to align with her own life goals. Marriage and family are incredibly important to Rachel, and you better believe that when her big, scary father walks her down the aisle it's going to be towards the ~*~*the one.*~*~
