The folks over at Cut Video have debuted another 100 Years Of Beauty clip, and this one compares female ideals in North and South Korea as they evolved over time.

The looks, styled by Tiffany Lee, paint a portrait of two very different cultures: South Korea's beauty practices, though changing, often reflect a more Western ideal, while beauty in North Korea proves less expressive and more akin to a uniform than a costume.

This installment is without a doubt the most interesting of the 100 Years of Beauty series (see the first two here and here), in that it reveals just how influential a nation's identity is in regards to aesthetic ideals.

Check it out up top.
