If you're obsessed with "13 Reasons Why," I hope you're sitting down because it's official — Season 2 is happening. The series is slated to return at some point in 2018, and it will focus on the aftermath of Hannah's suicide.

Selena Gomez is just as excited as you — she shared a brief video clip on Instagram accompanied by the caption: "Their story isn't over. Season 2 of #13ReasonsWhy is coming."

The new season of "13 Reasons Why" will follow the same format as Season 1 and consist of 13 hourlong episodes.

Kate Walsh, who plays Hannah's devastated mom, also took to social media to share the news — so it seems like the cast and crew are totally stoked to continue the story.

According to Netflix, the new season "picks up in the aftermath of Hannah Baker's death and the start of the characters' complicated journeys toward healing and recovery."

Although it hasn't been confirmed that Katherine Langford (who starred as Hannah in Season 1) will return, showrunner Brian Yorkey strongly hinted that she'll return in some capacity. On May 2, he told The Hollywood Reporter:

"Hannah's story is still very much not finished. She's an integral part of whatever the next chapter of the story is, and she's very much still at the center of it."

Langford's breakout performance in Season 1 was incredible, so it seems highly likely Yorkey will find a way to include her.

"13 Reasons Why" fans have a lot of feelings about the news.

They can't wait for the season 1 cliffhangers to be resolved

I'm clamoring to know whether or not Alex survived — and, although Miles Heizer recently shut down the fan theory that Tyler shot him, we still don't know why he had a box full of guns and ammunition. So, a school shooting is still a possible premise for Season 2.

Of course, there are plenty of other questions — will Bryce be brought to justice for raping both Jessica and Hannah? How will the Bakers move forward without their only child? Will Mr. Porter face consequences for shrugging off Hannah's rape report?

When Season 2 hits Netflix, we'll finally get some answers.
