Us The Duo's Mashup Of 2016's Top Hits In 3 Minutes Will Give You Chills

YouTube

If you take a moment to look at the bright side of 2016, you'll have to admit there was a pretty good soundtrack to the chaos that plagued the year.

There were plenty of hit songs for us to jam to, whether we were shamelessly groovin' to "Can't Stop The Feeling" by Justin Timberlake or belting out "Side To Side" by Ariana Grande on our bikes at SoulCycle.

Thanks to Us The Duo, we're able to reminisce about all of our favorite tunes from the past twelve months. The musically inclined couple covered all of 2016's top hits in just three minutes, and it'll seriously give you chills.

See? I know it might be hard to believe, but there was some good that came from 2016... musically, of course.

The duo, consisting of husband and wife Michael and Carissa Alvarado, were able to cover hit songs from the past year, including everything from "Starboy" by The Weeknd to "Closer" by The Chainsmokers.

They're super adorable and beyond talented. Listening to their harmonies is almost therapeutic (I'm a big fan, can't you tell?).

In fact, they're so damn cute they start their 2016 mashup with Carissa spilling her tea on Michael. We aren't sure if that was just a symbolic reference to this year's knack for disaster or simply an adorable accident, but whatever it was -- it worked.

The couple then flows into "Starboy," and quickly transitions to the emotional "7 Years" by Lukas Graham... and before we know it, we're on a trip down musical memory lane.

If you can't already tell, Us The Duo are professionals. They got their start singing six-second acoustic covers on Vine, but their fans wanted more.

Since then, they've become YouTube sensations.

The duo recently came to Elite Daily to discuss their newest EP, Public Record, which featured songs about their fans' stories instead of their own.

I think it's safe to say whether they're singing original music or covering all the hits from 2016, Us the Duo sounds flawless.

Give their repertoire a listen -- you won't be disappointed.
