Alanis Morissette Sang An Incredible Millennial Version Of 'Ironic' (Video)

by Taylor Ortega

Um, BUH'SCUSE ME! DID ALANIS MORISSETTE JUST ADMIT “IRONIC” FEATURES ZERO ACTUAL IRONIES?

She did. She really, truly did.

Ironically enough, Morissette appeared on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” to perform a Millennial version of her 1995 hit.

Huh? That's not irony?

Anyway, during the duet between songwriter and host, the pair sang,

It's singing 'Ironic,' but there are no ironies, and who would've thought, it figures.

BLAMO! FINALLY, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!

Ironically, Morissette also made a dig at Corden for being one of “10,000 male late night hosts when all you want is just one woman, seriously.”

No? Still not irony? Hmm.

Netflix, Waze, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Tinder, Snapchat, Uber and iPhones all got shoutouts in the remake and, as usual, Morissette sang the song of everyone's struggles.

What is probably most ironic about the whole performance is the fact the duo wore matching red beanies, reminiscent of the one from Morissette's original video for the tune (you know, the one where Morissette takes a road trip with three other Alanises and they all belt "Ironic" on the ride just as all humans have done for the last 20 years).

SERIOUSLY?! WHATEVER, YOU GUYS. IRONY IS HARD.
