BCS announcer Brent Musburger has told TMZ that he does not regret showering Miss Alabama USA Katherine Webb with compliments during the title game between Alabama and Notre Dame … because he didn’t do anything wrong!

Musburger was arriving at the airport in Palm Beach, Florida Tuesday when TMZ approached the announcer and asked if he thought his comments about QB A.J. McCarron’s GF were slightly inappropriate — Musburger made it quite clear that he did not.

Following the incident, ESPN issued an apology on behalf of Brent and the network….which created a bit of tension between the two parties.

Brent made the following statement in regards to ESPN’s apology :

“Individuals say what individuals say. And corporations do what corporations do,” Musburger said … adding,

“Obviously, they felt it was the right thing for them to do.”

In case you missed the game last week — Musburger showered Webb with compliments when the camera cut to her in the stands,  praising her beauty for a good 30 seconds !

Some people found this to be creepy, but in Brent’s defenses…she’s really fucking hot!
