Bill Nye Is Coming Back To TV And Everyone's Freaking Out

If you're a '90s kid and you had a lazy middle school teacher, 90 percent of your science knowledge came from "Bill Nye the Science Guy."

Well, that questionable education is about to get even better because Bill Nye is back, baby.

The 60-year-old scientist personality is getting his own Netflix series in the spring of 2017, called "Bill Nye Saves The World."

The series will be a science talk show and, according to a Netflix press release, the show "will tackle a topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry."

The statement also said the show will "bring in special guests, conduct experiments and demonstrations, and ultimately let the facts lead the argument."

So it basically sounds like Bill Nye is going to shut down ignorant people who dispute global warming with his awesome science facts.

Bill said in a statement he is indeed on a mission to change minds and "save the world." He said,

Since the start of the Science Guy show, I've been on a mission to change the world by getting people everywhere excited about the fundamental ideas in science. Today, I'm excited to be working with Netflix on a new show, where we'll discuss the complex scientific issues facing us today, with episodes on vaccinations, genetically modified foods and climate change. With the right science and good writing, we'll do our best to enlighten and entertain our audience. And, perhaps we'll change the world a little.

This all sounds amazing to me! With all these politicians saying different things to benefit themselves, it's hard to know who to trust. But I know I can always count on Bill Nye.

And us '90s kids are just happy to relive our childhood. Twitter's already aflutter with nostalgia.

Science rules!
