Beyoncé Describes Her Special Connection With Blue Ivy
During her shoot for the March edition of Vogue, new mother Beyoncé tells the magazine about the strong connection that she felt with Blue Ivy even before she was born.
“I felt very maternal around eight months, and I thought I couldn’t bond any more,” said Beyoncé. “Until I saw the baby. But it happened during my labor because I had a very strong connection with my child. I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door.”
Even after birth the singer’s connection with her baby intensified calling Blue Ivy, “My road dog, my homey, my best friend.”
She explained her birth: “And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn’t think about my own pain. We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication… I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door.”
“It was the best day of my life,” she added.
