If you haven’t already heard, Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are reuniting for a spinoff of their classic show “Boy Meets World” that will feature Cory and Topanga’s daughter, Riley Matthews entitled “Girl Meets World.”

How did Ben Savage contact Fishel about bringing back their old characters for the spinoff?

“It was really cute because I had already talked to [series creator Michael Jacobs] and I didn’t know if Ben had already talked to Michael,” Fishel said. “Then one night I got a text from Ben that just said, ‘Hey what do you think about being my wife again?’ And I wrote him back and I said, ‘Nothing would make me happier than to call you my husband five days a week.”

After they agreed to return, a few more calls were made and they were back on the set like old times.

The plot of the show will be quite similar to “Boy Meets World” only the main character will be a girl and her one sibling won’t be a schizophrenic man-baby. Whether or not Will Friedle and/or Rider Strong will make guest appearances is unconfirmed.

The craziest part about the premise, however, is that Cory will now be a seventh grade history teacher just like his legendary mentor, the one and only Mr. Feeny.

Rule changes have since protected offensive players […]
