Britney Spears' Awful Date Experience Proves She's Just Like The Rest Of Us

What was your worst date?

For me, it was probably that time my date dared me to climb down into a well and then covered it after he became convinced I was a vengeful spirit, not unlike Banchō Sarayashiki of traditional Japanese folklore.

Needless to say, there wasn't a second date.

Thankfully, Britney Spears has been there. (I'm talking about having a bad date, not falling down a well, unless… No, no, never mind.)

Britney Spears recently told Marie Claire UK all about a bad date she had. Stars — they're just like us!

She was even nervous about the date because she actually liked the dude. And… it did not go well.

On the topic of her worst date she said,

I've been single for ages and had a date with a guy I liked. I was getting anxious, worrying he wouldn't like me. In the evening I got on the scales and I had lost six pounds… We went to the movies, but I could tell right away it wasn't working. It was sort of awkward. So after the movie I came home and that was it. It just didn't work… He just wasn't that into me. I liked him. He knew that. But he definitely didn't feel the same. It happens to everybody. Being famous doesn't make you any different.

I mean, as far as bad dates go that is certainly not the worst. Brit Brit, cheer up — literally no one likes me!

You have to TEACH them to love you, through mental and emotional manipulation, or so multiple young adult novels would have me believe.
