Britney Spears is certainly no stranger to bad hair days but has it got so bad she has to completely fake it? The X Factor judge sports a suspiciously low hairline in pictures from a recent photoshoot and it looks like she could be wearing a wig or a weave.

The 30-year-old pop star is on the latest cover of Lucky magazine and her long, flowing blonde locks appear to be synthetic and too dry to be natural.

Compared to other recent pictures, Britney’s hairline is at least a few inches lower in the magazine pictures.

Britney’s hair has been the focus of attention for years. She has often been photographed with obvious and poorly attached hair extensions and in 2007, at the height of her previous but widely public troubles, even shaved her own head.

The ‘Hold it Against Me’ singer also seems to have benefited from the airbrush in the shots and has a strangely plastic face and dazzlingly white teeth.

Despite the fact she might be wearing a wig, Britney’s outfits for the cover story were stylish and quirky.

The get-ups were also more demure than the bright, figure-hugging dresses she has been wearing while appearing on The X Factor.

On the cover, mother-of-two Britney wears a short red skirt with a pink belt and teamed it with a tight black semi see-though polka dot top with long sleeves.

She is also pictured in a royal blue high-waisted but skin tight skirt and white blazer with black lining.

Underneath Britney wore a metallic cropped bandeau top and accesorized with a silver bow bangle and bright pink drop earrings.

In another shot the Toxic singer wears a pretty pink jumper with a narrow white bow belt to accentuate her slim waist.

She completed the look with chunky crystal bangles and earrings.

In the interview Britney opened up about her family and about who her style icons are.

She said that her two sons, Preston, seven, and Jayden James, six, think that she is a ‘superhero’ when they see her on television judging the hit reality show.

Britney told the magazine: “The boys try to figure out where I go when I go film ‘X Factor’. They’re like, “Mommy’s going off to be a superhero”.’

She also revealed that Jennifer Lopez and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Britney added: ‘JLo is a classic beauty and I like SJP because her looks are really bright and funky and young.’
