His divorce from reality TV star Evelyn Lozada was finalized on Wednesday, a little more than a month after his arrest on a domestic battery charge. And now NFL star Chad ‘Ochocino’ has revealed he has enrolled in anger management classes following the alleged head butting incident with Lozada.

‘I’m trying to find out how can I channel my anger when I’m in situations to where I would pop off,’ Johnson says in an interview with Showtime’s Inside The NFL which airs on Wednesday night.

‘How can I diffuse those situations, trigger points? Right now I need to work on Chad.

Sporting a three-piece suit and speaking candidly in the interview, Johnson says he takes full responsibility for the altercation which resulted in his arrest on August 11 on a domestic violence charge.

Lozada was treated for a laceration to her forehead, police captain Dale Engle claimed at the time.

‘I had an altercation with my wife,’ says Johnson. ‘I take full responsibility for it. I apologize for it. I’m human and I made a mistake.’

Johnson also says he believes the Miami Dolphins team cut him from the team solely based on the domestic incident, rather than his performances on the field.

‘That was the reason,’ he says. ‘There’s no need to blow smoke up my a**.

He adds: ‘First off, I lost two things that I love. Football. I love that. Being married, being a husband, being a lover was an honor and I lost that. They have that saying: You never know what you have until it’s gone and that’s gone and now I finally know what they mean.

‘I lost two of the things that really meant the most to me. That someone completed my world, completed me, period. But I just hadn’t made that transition to where I needed to be the best man that I could, or best husband that I could. I didn’t make it all the way, fully.’

Johnson also reveals he is no longer on speaking terms with Basketball Wives star Lozada.

Along With Their Losing Season, Jets Ticket Sales Are Also Plummeting

Two months ago, the New York Jets were gearing up to begin the 2014 NFL season with plenty of questions in tow. Who would start under center? Was John Idzik the right fit for the organization? Is the secondary that bad? Would Rex Ryan fit into his new slimmed-down, 40″ Dockers? All of these questions still […]

Man Insults A Bird And The Bird Fights Back By Saying ‘F*ck You’ (Video)

After dealing with my fair share of pigeons, seagulls and crows over the course of my life, I’ve come to the conclusion that a lot of birds are conniving, soulless creatures that wake up every day intent on causing chaos in the world. The worst part is that crows are actually considered intelligent by people […]

This Is What Happens When A Snowblower Destroys 100 Pumpkins (Video)

Once Halloween is over, what’s a person to do with those half-rotten Jack-O-Lanterns and uncarved pumpkins sitting around the house? Ventrac, a company that produces small tractors, somehow ended up with 100 spare pumpkins and faced the same dilemma, albeit on a much larger scale. Its solution? Smash up the orange fruit (yup, pumpkin is a fruit) […]

Why It’s Naïve To Think That Naïveté Is A Negative Personality Trait

I’ve heard the same comment a million times from friends, family and even acquaintances I’ve just met: “You have a great personality, but you’re pretty naïve.” For many years, I’ve taken this to heart, and in a pretty negative way, thinking there was something wrong with me. I’ve tried to “suck it up” and toughen […]
