He has hardly covered himself in glory in his private life in recent months. And disgraced Chad Johnson’s problems have taken another turn after it emerged he is being pursued through the courts for child support.

Andrea Pearson, who had a son with the axed NFL star in 2010, is accusing him of being a deadbeat father, and demanding $5,250 owed since October 15.

She is also claiming the Dancing With the Stars favorite is regularly late handing over payments in legal documents filed in Miami.

Miss Pearson alleges she does not have the means to support the child as a result — and wants the court to force him to pay up as soon as possible.

And if he still fails to cough up she wants the court to throw the former New England Patriot in jail until he honors their child support agreement.

Johnson’s lawyer had no comment, but sources close to the star told TMZ he has always provided the boy and even bought his mother a house.
