He is waiting to discover if he is to be charged for allegedly headbutting her after flying into a rage. But dumped NFL star Chad Johnson has ostensibly tried to win back the approval of his wife Evelyn Lozado by having her portrait tattooed on his leg.

The axed Miami Dolphin sat in a pose similar to The Thinker as he showed off the finished article, before posting the image on his Twitter account. The design features the image of her face, and has the name Eve emblazoned below it. It is unclear if the tattoo is real, but is appears genuine and he had it put on over the weekend.

However sources close to Evelyn told TMZ she still feels strongly about divorcing him, and has made it clear to friends they will not be getting back together. This follows her speaking out for the first time about the moment he allegedly assaulted her.

The Basketball Wives star left the 34-year-old following the incident, while the Miami Dolphins also dropped him from the team following his arrest for domestic battery on August 11 in Davie, Florida.

In an interview on ABC’s Nightline, she explained that she found a receipt for condoms in his car as they were driving home and confronted him about it.

She said: ‘And then the next thing I know, he grabbed me by here (points to her head) and he head-butted me.

‘I felt blood coming down my face, and I looked at him and I said, “You just head-butted me?”

‘And it just — everything just felt if it was in slow motion.’

It has since been claimed that the former Dancing With The Stars contestant had been bedding a string of mistresses even before the couple were married in July.

During her interview she also revealed she cannot foresee sitting down with her ex again, though she is hoping he seeks professional aid.

With her voice quivering with emotion, the 36-year-old said: ‘It would have to take some time. I love him very much and I think us being away from each other is the right thing.

‘What is he going to say, “sorry?”‘

‘I would like for him to tell me that he got help. And that he is working on himself.

‘I always, when I talk to my sister or my girlfriend, say I want the best for him. I really do.’

She also claimed that his volatile behaviour was not a true representation of the man she knew.

‘He’s a good guy who made a bad choice. He loves football, he’s very driven and he is a great dad. He made a bad choice that destroyed his life. I hate that im connected to that, I do, but it was his choice, it wasn’t mine.’

She filed for divorce on August 14 saying her marriage was ‘irretrievably broken.’

Johnson is waiting to find out whether he is to be charged over the incident, and was released from jail after posting $2,500 bail.

While he had never been arrested during his 12-year NFL career he was arrested in a domestic dispute during college according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
