Charlie Sheen seems to have a nice side after all! Sheen announced that he plans to donate money to the USO, a troop morale-boosting organization.
Sheen’s donation is believed to be the largest single donation to the organization. He said that he is ready to give $1 million.
Sheen revealed that he will donate 1 percent of profits from his new sitcom, Anger Management, to the group. He will give a minimum of $1 million, with no cap on the final amount.
The actor’s donation to the USO’s Operation Enduring Care campaign will be used to build an entertainment facility for injured troops in Bethesda, Md.
“It’s an honor for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us,” Sheen said in a statement.
They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I’m just happy that my work on ‘Anger Management’ can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families.
He will give the USO a first installment of $250,000 later this week.
