Season 14 is just around the corner so today the Dancing with the Stars cast members made the most of their time off as they enjoyed a day on the beach in sunny Malibu. Two time winner Chery Burke posed alongside fellow dancer Australian Kym Johnson at the Chapstick sponsored 90265 Malibu Beach House.

The pair showed off their different styles with Cheryl opting for a strapless jersey tie-dye dress, while Kym wore a white mini dress and matching sunhat

The pair were happy to pose for photos, but after running down to the shore and dipping their toes in the freezing Pacific Ocean, the dancers decided that rather than strip off for a swim they would play paddle ball on the beach.

The 28-year-old ballerina turned ballroom queen Burke and professional ballroom dancer Johnson, 35, took the opportunity to let their hair down before what is sure to be a drama-filled season.

ABC recently announced the cast for the  All-Star edition of the show which will bring back 12 former rivals including Pamela Anderson, Kirstie Alley, Bristol Palin, Former `NSync member Joey Fatone and gymnast Shawn Johnson. 

Cheryl took to her official Twitter account and wrote of three of her former star partners being on the show.

‘So happy to see I have 3 of my partners on for All-Stars! @thedrewlachey, @EmmittSmith22 and @GillesMarini. Wonder who I will get??!!!’ she gushed.

Besides getting ready for a new season, Cheryl has got a new lover – and it’s a fellow athlete who’s also her exact age.

Cheryl has been dating hockey player Joffrey Lupu, who plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs, after they met at the 2012 NHL Awards in Las Vegas

The couple were spotted together last week holding hands at Jockey For a Cause, a charity event in San Diego.

In June, Cheryl said if she didn’t meet a decent man soon, she would go on a nation-wide search.

‘My dating record hasn’t been great the past couple of years so if I have a chance to go on [The Bachelorette] I will,’ she told People magazine.
