Reporter Awkwardly Asked Dakota Johnson's Mom About 'Fifty Shades'

by Adam Pliskin

This year's Oscars started off on an awkward note on the red carpet. Dakota Johnson, star of "Fifty Shades of Grey," was on the carpet with her mother, Melanie Griffith.

There, ABC's Lara Spencer asked Griffith if she had seen her daughter's performance in the BDSM-filled film.

Griffith had not, mostly because she felt uncomfortable seeing her baby girl getting whipped and chained by a strange man.

Johnson didn't seem to have an issue with the idea of her mother seeing "Fifty Shades," but Griffith was simply not into it.

But, things did get weird, which tends to happen when mothers and daughters talk about sex. Check it out above.
