Dennis Quaid has filed for divorce from his wife Kimberly Buffington-Quaid. The 58-year-old actor filed documents to dissolve the couple’s eight-year marriage in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, according to People.com.

Dennis Quaid is reportedly requesting joint physical and legal custody of the couple’s twins, four-year-olds Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, and is offering to pay spousal support.
The What To Expect When You’re Expecting star has been through a rollercoaster relationship of late, with Buffington-Quaid, 41, initially filing for divorce in March.

She changed her mind and withdrew those papers a month later so the couple could work on their marriage.

But last month the Austin, Texas native and former real estate agent filed for legal separation from The Alamo star famous for his toothy grin.

And now Quaid has put the nail on the marital coffin by filing for divorce.

The pair wed in 2004 at the actor’s Paradise Valley, Montana ranch, and became parents to a fraternal twins on November 8, 2007 via a gestational carrier.

Ten days after the babies birth, a hospital staffer mistakenly administered a dose of heparin 1,000 times the common dosage.

Although the babies are fine now, the Quaids sued the drug manufacturer, Baxter Healthcare, for failing to differentiate the two packages enough.

‘Forrest Gump’ As Directed By Wes Anderson Is Perfect (Video)

Wes Anderson, he’s so hot right now. It seems the new wave of parodies for the time being is everything Wes Anderson (don’t worry, “Frozen” parodies aren’t going anywhere). We saw the “Zoolander” scene a few days ago inspired by Anderson, and a few weeks before that we saw a beautiful compilation of his symmetry. Now, […]

Singularity At The Cinema: ‘Transcendence,’ ‘Her’ And Fighting Against The Future

“Transcendence” isn’t a very good movie. It has the setup to be a thought-provoking, sci-fi, action flick, without any real action or thought of which to speak. It’s essentially the last 20 minutes of “Her,” spread glacially over a two-hour-and-twenty-minute run time. The biggest problem with “Transcendence,” however, is that it foregrounds and obsesses over its technology at the […]

Filmmakers Michael Maes and Ellen Cuylaerts took their teenage children scuba-diving in shark-infested waters while filming a documentary about fear of the water. The UK Metro reports that one of the film’s goals is to stress that sharks should not be feared but protected due to their endangered status. The couple saw no better way […]

What Your Cat’s Body Language Really Means (Video)

Anyone who has read anything I’ve written about cats knows my feelings on them — they’re soulless, godless creatures bent on killing everything. If they didn’t rely on humans to provide them with food, comfort and a home, they’d have no problem trying to murder all of us. Nobody understands this better than Pleated-Jeans, who […]

Why You Can’t Love More Than One Person

I’d like to think that most people don’t fall in love very easily. Nevertheless, there are those who claim to fall in love on the regular. Moreover, there are some individuals who claim to be capable of being in love with more than one individual at a time. This concept seems foreign to me, but […]

Science Explains Why Our Own Selfies Look Weird To Us

The Atlantic’s Nolan Feely knows why your proportions don’t look quite right in your selfies. “Don’t blame your face. Blame your brain instead,” he says. Feely writes that selfies often look like uglier versions of ourselves because they are literally a flip-flopped picture of what we see in a mirror. Not a reversed image, but […]
