Eva Longoria Settles Crash Case Out Of Court

She had dismissed it as nothing more than a frivolous lawsuit. But Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has ended up settling out of court with a driver she ran into in 2010 just days before his lawsuit was due to go to trial.

Roman Gasparyan had claimed the 37-year-old lost control of her BMW and crashed into him in Hollywood, and that she had ‘red and bloodshot’ eyes at the scene of the incident.

According to TMZ the settlement was announced in Los Angeles Superior Court on August 3, just 12 days before it was supposed to go to trial.

It is not clear if the staunch Democrat, who is co-chair for the Barack Obama re-election campaign, has admitted fault for the crash, as the settlement details are currently unknown.

Singularity At The Cinema: ‘Transcendence,’ ‘Her’ And Fighting Against The Future

“Transcendence” isn’t a very good movie. It has the setup to be a thought-provoking, sci-fi, action flick, without any real action or thought of which to speak. It’s essentially the last 20 minutes of “Her,” spread glacially over a two-hour-and-twenty-minute run time. The biggest problem with “Transcendence,” however, is that it foregrounds and obsesses over its technology at the […]

The Affluenza Defense: When You’re Simply Too Rich To Go To Jail

The air had turned crisp and cool in North Texas, a welcome reprieve from months of oppressive heat that earned the summer of 2011 the distinction of being the hottest on record. The Unattainable Urge To Always Want What We Can’t Have

When you were told you couldn’t have a toy as a kid, the tantrum was inevitable; you wanted it even more than before.
