Fans Think Taylor Swift Hid From Paparazzi In A Suitcase And No One Can Handle It
Something happened Monday, guys, and we need to talk about it. Paparazzi were trying to catch a glimpse of Taylor Swift leaving her NYC apartment on July 17, when they reportedly saw a couple of men carrying out a large black suitcase.
And then, then, one outlet released the image with a caption speculating that Taylor Swift was hiding from the paparazzi in that very suitcase.
The photo and its original caption that sparked this rumor came from Splash News, a widely used media site.
The caption made it onto Twitter, and that's when it all began.
According to Spin 1038, the caption said,
Taylor Swift being transported in a huge suitcase from her Tribeca apartment into her truck, in the trunk. A fleet of cars including two large Cadillacs and three SUVs arrive at Taylor Swift's apartment in Tribeca to move a large suitcase from apartment to truck. Almost a dozen of Taylor Swift security guards were present to move this package carefully as Taylor Swift remains to be unseen for a long time.
But the caption has since been retracted by Splash News, according to Spin Magazine. An anonymous Splash News representative told Spin,
I literally just put the phone down from someone on Taylor's camp. We're having to actually retract that.
This is all happening the same exact week as the one-year anniversary of the day Kim Kardashian exposed Taylor Swift on her Snapchat story for lying about her knowledge of the song "Famous."
Fans dubbed July 17, 2016, "National Snake Day" and made sure to celebrate it today, July 17, 2017.
Since the caption has been retracted, there's a large chance the claim that Taylor Swift avoids paparazzi by hiding in suitcases is most likely false.
But can you imagine if this were true?
I'm going to keep living my life as if it were true.
The reactions/memes that came out of this were the greatest thing to ever happen to the internet (this month).
Most people are begging for this story to be real just like I am. THIS NEEDS TO BE FACT.
Look, I'm not trying to discredit the fact that Taylor Swift is a very famous person who is constantly being chased by paparazzi as a result. That struggle is legitimate.
But I'm never going to discredit how f*cking funny the extreme lengths Taylor Swift will go to to avoid being seen by the paparazzi are.
And people call me extra.
