Gigi Hadid Was Interviewed While Holding Plank And The Video Is Painful To Watch

If someone tells me to do a plank, I would rather build an actual pirate ship inspired by the 14th century BCE Sea Peoples and walk the plank into shark infested waters.

I refuse to get down on my elbows and hold my hips up in such a way to tone my abs.

Why? Because it's uncomfortable and makes Gigi Hadid's forehead vein look like a raised-relief map of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

And I certainly wouldn't agree to be interviewed while performing a plank, as I'm sure that is a form of torture and interrogation.

Rob Piela, Hadid's boxing trainer, interviewed the model as part of Reebok's #PerfectNever campaign.

Somehow, Hadid responds to his questions with positive answers, like answering the secret to a positive attitude is calling your mom, taking a walk and eating well.

If someone asked me this same question while I was planking, I would say "fuck you, leave me alone to die."

Just looks at this face?

God, I know exercise keeps us all in shape, but at what cost?

Gigi said,

So many women around the world in so many different career paths and places are expected to be perfect and I know that it sounds cliché, but none of us are. I think that it's important to just be open about that. It makes life so much easier when you can just say 'I'm human' at the end of the day.

The #PerfectNever campaign was launched in July, along with Ronda Rousey, to stop body-shamers and to show no one has to be perfect and there's always room for self-improvement.

Gigi believes working out isn't just to get the perfect body -- it's to help manage stress and boost your self-confidence.

She said,

Working out isn't only physical for me. It's mental. It helps me escape the noise in my head. It's the only time my mind goes quiet.
