Hip-hop fans have something to look forward to as legendary MC Ja Rule is getting out of prison early next year. Murder Inc’s main man has been imprisoned for the past year and a half stemming from a weapon’ possession charge, but his freedom is only a few months away!

The news was revealed via a message posted on his website:

Ja Rule‘s prison sentence is coming to an end. The sentence began on June 7th 2011. During that time he is gained his high school diploma and released his 7th studio album Pain is love 2 (PIL2) with the help of long time producer 7 Aurelius. He is expected to be released on 02/21/2013.

The site also dropped details on a forthcoming movie project I’m In Love With A Church Girl, which will hit theaters in “Spring/Summer 2013.”

At the top of the year, the 36-year-old was interview by the New York Daily News, where he spoke on the relationships he’s made in the pen. “Outside, you don’t meet guys like this every day. This place is amazing,” he explained. “It’s funny. We are from totally different walks of life. But when you’re here, you’re here.”

Since being behind bars, the Queens native dropped an album Pain Is Love 2, and penned a letter to fans.

Building Castles In The Sky: Why Daydreaming Is Actually Good For You

Freud had it right when he stated that “men and women cannot subsist on the scanty satisfaction which they extort from reality.” He believed that our tendency to daydream in our everyday lives was a tool derived from our basic pleasure principle. Lately, I’ve found myself slipping into the fantasy of being awash on some […]
