Jared Leto Hints At Possible Return As The Joker In New Snapchat Post
If you did your homework and watched the rare behind-the-scenes footage of Jared Leto as the Joker, you're well aware of the fact the 45-year-old actor perfected the role.
However, Leto's actual role in "Suicide Squad" was labeled lackluster to viewers because of the fact that the Joker appeared more in promos for the movie than in the actual movie itself.
As a matter of fact, if you wanted to get your full dose of Jared Leto as the Joker, you probably went out and bought the extended version of the DC Comics film.
Hey, look, I'm not complaining. Personally, Harley Quinn's sexy, supervillain ways got the job done for me. Watching Leto be a complete grill-wearing psycho with bright green hair was just an added bonus.
But what if I told you Jared Leto was recently hinting at a possible return as the Joker? Because he just might be or at least that's what fans are gathering from his latest Snapchat post.
Here are the Joker-inspired photos Jared Leto shared on Snapchat. Could he be returning to the silver screen as the Joker?
The first photo is clearly an illustration of the Joker while the second photo appears to show some sort of tooth in a purple, Joker-themed Gucci case.
So, can we count on a return? Well, it's not totally impossible. After all, a "Gotham City Sirens" movie starring Margot Robbie is in the works.
The all-female DC villain film is being directed by "Suicide Squad" director David Ayer. While it's tough to speculate whether Leto would take on a lead role in a film focusing on female villains, it's not impossible to imagine film writers being able to make it work.
Fans are also thinking Leto could be scoring his very own film about the Joker with him as the lead actor.
This theory is also plausible for the simple fact Leto has only played a supporting role as the Joker so far. If you ask me, he may be due for a solo flick.
Speaking of solo flicks, Leto has expressed his interest in starring in future DC Extended Universe films as the Joker. In other words, you're not crazy for thinking this could go down.
I think fans just want more of what "Suicide Squad" didn't offer enough of.
At this point, all we can do is wait for the 45-year-old award-winning actor to drop more hints!
...Or maybe he just really likes Gucci products.
We'll see.
