This morning Jerry Sandusky showed up to court for his sentencing, which is expected to last a few hours. Unfortunately for the media, cameras are not being allowed inside the courtroom.
The former Penn State assistant coach will read a statement at some point during his sentence hearing, but is there really much to say at this point? Sandusky has been convicted on 45 separate counts of sexually abusing 10 boys over the 15-year period.
We can also expect several of his victims to read impact statements during the emotionally-charged hearing that comes just a day after Sandusky released a public statement from his jail cell, claiming he is innocent.
The fact that Jerry Sandusky believes he is innocent and being wrongly convicted is a sign of how sick this man truly is. Not only have his actions changed the victims’ lives, but it has left a permanent stain in Penn State’s history and legacy.
However, despite what Jerry Sandusky believes he did or did not do, the court will without a doubt bring justice to the victims and their families.
Don’t drop the soap Jerry!
