Joseph Gordon-Levitt Currently Being Recruited For ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Role

After having starred in both Looper and The Dark Knight Rises within the last six months, Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s status in Hollywood has never been higher!

According to Deadline, Marvel is looking to court Joseph Gordon-Levitt to play the lead in its adaptation of Guardians of the Galaxy, which is set to hit theaters in 2014. The role that Gordon-Levitt is being looked at for is Star-Lord, the team’s leader.

Though Deadline isn’t 100% sure whether or not Gordon-Levitt has actually been offered the role, there is definite interest on Marvel’s part in bringing him in.

If he doesn’t get the job, the studio is still looking at Joel Edgerton, Jim Sturgess, Jack Huston, and Eddie Redmayne to play the character as well.

Guardians of the Galaxy will hit theaters on August 1, 2014.
