Kim Kardashian Responds To Jeffree Star After Makeup Artist Slams KKW Beauty
Kim Kardashian may have a beauty line, but that doesn't mean she knows how to use it. Just 'cause you got it, doesn't mean you know how to flaunt it – just ask Jeffree Star. The beauty expert is calling out Kim K for her latest Snapchats about her new contour kit on Twitter. Jeffree Star's tweets about Kim Kardashian's KKW Beauty are pretty harsh, but Kim K fans are on her side. Ouch. Star might be retracting those comments soon.
The 36-year-old reality star received negative feedback from Star after showing off her new powder contour kits. The beauty blogger criticized her method of "swatching," which, apparently means applying cosmetic makeup on your arm to show how it looks on your skin. You learn something new every day.
Star took to Twitter to diss the reality star's makeup line,
Umm… Kim what is going on with those new swatches?? Looks like chalk. I'm never a fan of finger swatches so I'll have to try the @kkwbeauty on my face for a final verdict but… doesn't look great so far.
Kim K's swatching methods are showcased in a video on her Snapchat. Kim commented on her unsuccessful swatches and said,
I want you guys to see this pimple here. You're stressing me the f*ck out. OK, guys, I get it, I didn't know how to f*cking swatch powders before at the beginning. I'm learning.
Kim K defended Star in a statement on Snapchat:
I see that my fans are totally hating on someone like Jeffree Star for being honest about my struggle swatches. But because of his remarks, I'm learning.
Fans also criticized Star for racist remarks he made in the past, even after the makeup artist issued a formal apology. Kim K fired back and said,
I get that it's a serious deal if you say like racial things but I do believe in people changing and people that apologize, I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I know better than anyone that I hate when people bring up my past or mistakes that I've made in the past so like, let him live. I welcome honest comments about my products and because of it, I'm swatching better now.
Star responded on Twitter and praised Kim K,
The fact that someone like @KimKardashian can understand and take real feedback is what a REAL boss bitch does. Love you
They certainly made up quickly, and let's be real, her swatching will improve.
