We’re more used to seeing her shopping, partying or heading to the gym in her hometown of Los Angeles. But Kim Kardashian got out of her comfort zone recently as she spent a day ziplining on her Mexican vacation.

Joined by boyfriend Kanye West and friend Joe Francis, the 31-year-old reality show star is seen in one photo, smiling broadly in a red helmet and plunging black body suit.

Francis posted photographs up on his website showing the trio posing together, with Kanye looking a little more serious in his black vest top and white gloves.

According to Us Weekly, Kim and Kanye didn’t stay at Francis’s Mexican vacation home – instead renting a private property in a ‘remote part of the country.’

However Francis did share shots of the couple getting ready to zipline through the jungle, revealing that his group of friends spent their vacation ‘relaxing before hitting the ocean and ripping through the waves on jet skis launched from a gorgeous white sand beach.

He adds: ‘They also participated in a thrilling zip lining tour through the Mexican jungle flying between trees, spanning rope bridges, and sharing memorable laughs.’

And according to a source, the ‘vibe’ on the Kardashian trip was ‘totally relaxed.’

Francis, 39, is the founder of the adult entertainment brand Girls Gone Wild and a good friend of Kim.

Kim seems to be back in more familiar surroundings – she tweeted yesterday that she had been paying a visit to Central Park zoo in New York City after finishing an ‘amazing cover shoot.’

She appears to have been spending more time in the city of late to be closer to Kanye who is based there.

She tweeted last week: ‘Can’t sleep, up watching American Dad with my baby @kanyewest. I love this show!’

‘Forrest Gump’ As Directed By Wes Anderson Is Perfect (Video)

Wes Anderson, he’s so hot right now. It seems the new wave of parodies for the time being is everything Wes Anderson (don’t worry, “Frozen” parodies aren’t going anywhere). We saw the “Zoolander” scene a few days ago inspired by Anderson, and a few weeks before that we saw a beautiful compilation of his symmetry. Now, […]

Singularity At The Cinema: ‘Transcendence,’ ‘Her’ And Fighting Against The Future

“Transcendence” isn’t a very good movie. It has the setup to be a thought-provoking, sci-fi, action flick, without any real action or thought of which to speak. It’s essentially the last 20 minutes of “Her,” spread glacially over a two-hour-and-twenty-minute run time. The biggest problem with “Transcendence,” however, is that it foregrounds and obsesses over its technology at the […]

There’s A Thin Line Between Being A Dreamer And Being A Fool

Remember when you were a kid? Remember when you had full confidence in your abilities to do anything? Remember when you wanted to be the first woman to auction off her virginity online or the first 25-year-old to work for NASA? Some dreams may have been more obscure than others, but we all envisioned ourselves […]

The United States No Longer Has The Wealthiest Middle Class In The World

America, which once prided itself on a financially-secure middle class, might be losing that distinction. According to a number of surveys, the US middle class is no longer the wealthiest in the world. Due to many economic issues over the last decade, including (if I had to guess) our recalcitrance towards raising the minimum wage to […]
