Kristen Wiig To Join Cast Of “Anchorman: The Legend Continues”

Kristen Wiig is reportedly in negotiations to join the cast of Adam McKay’s Anchorman: The Legend Continues. The actress  is being eyed to potentially play a love interest opposite Steve Carell’s character, Brick Tamland. Since the script is still being written, there are not many details on the role other than those.

Aside from making several appearances on SNL , Wiig’s big screen break came when she starred in 2011’s hit comedy Bridesmaids. Since then, she has been the go-to gal for Hollywood comedies, and a role in the Anchorman sequel will only bolster her résumé.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues is set to hit theaters in October 2013.
