The critical opprobrium generated by Lindsay Lohan’s hammy turn as incandescent screen icon Elizabeth Taylor may be almost universal, but ever the maverick, Lady Gaga has tweeted a glowing review of her friend’s performance.

The Born This Way singer wrote to her friend on Monday, to let her know how impressed she was by Lindsay’s acting work as the late, great Liz.

‘You did a beautiful job on Liz & Dick, Let no one bring u down, Liz didnt, they always try to knock the greats down a few pegs,’ Gaga wrote.

Lindsay, 26, who can only be pitied (however bad her performance) as she faces the horrendous onslaught of criticism and jibes, replied:

‘Thank you so much, you are such an incredible force and that means the world to me. Love and hugs hope to see you soon bella.’

But it’s a bit of a mystery as to when Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, also 26, as she was very busy in Paraguay preparing for her Monday night concert.

But of course, everything’s downloadable these days so it’s possibly that Mama Monster took two hours out of her schedule to watch the made for TV movie.

One of the franchise’s primary reason for success is thanks to the brilliance of Johnny Depp. Depp has held some pretty iconic roles, from Edward Scissorhands to […]

Video Showing You Everything From Your Childhood Will Leave You Oozing Nostalgia

There’s Michael Bay’s “Transformers.” There’s “The Lego Movie.” And now Wil Wheaton brings us “Literally Everything Else From Your Childhood: The Movie.” Obviously, this isn’t a real movie, but […]

How ‘The Leftovers’ Is Taking Us To A Whole New Realm Of Thinking

There’s a memorable scene halfway through the second episode of the new HBO show, “The Leftovers,” to either avoid if you prefer more frivolous programming or embrace if you can stomach its brilliantly morose tone. The scene portrays our “hero,” Chief of Police Kevin Garvey, trying to accomplish the simple task of toasting a bagel. After […]

How We’ve Become So Consumed By ‘Likes’ That We’ve Forgotten How To Love

“Likes” are how oral sex should be: given and received freely. They are a sweeping epidemic, and like those nasty STDS, you can’t escape giving them or getting them. It’s become common nature to like anything and everything, not taking the time to decide if we even really like it. We do it for attention, camaraderie […]
