Before Madonna began her performance in Chile last night, the pop icon made a serious threat to a bunch of her cigarette-smoking fans: put out your butts, or I’m not going to perform!

During a soundcheck for the concert, Madonna was hit with some secondhand smoke, and proceeded to go off on the smokers in the audience.

“There are people smoking right now, ” the singer lashed out … “No smoking!”

“If you’re going to smoke cigarettes, I’m not doing a show.”

She continued, “You don’t care about me? I don’t care about you. All right? Are we going to play that game? I’m not kidding. I can’t sing if you smoke .. Entiendes?”

“You’re looking right at me and smoking cigarettes, like I’m a stupid f**king idiot.”

Believe it or not, the smokers present extinguished their cigarettes and Madonna went on to perform a bunch of her hits, including the song “Human Nature.”

How We Have Become A Generation That Hopes Things Will Always Get Better

It’s popular belief that Generation-Y is composed of the dreamer and the hopeless romantic. We are labeled the “me” generation, perpetually self-absorbed and overly arrogant. We’re frowned upon as entitled idealists who expect to have everything handed to us. We are viewed as irresponsible and unrealistic. And I must ask, what’s so wrong with that? […]
