Today marks the third anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death – an event that forever changed the world.

The world mourned his death during MJ’s memorial service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where his daughter Paris cried and said she loved her father. At the event, Jermaine performed his rendition of “Smile.”

MJ was eventually buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif.

He was 50 years old.
