Miranda Lambert Cried On Stage Days Before Her Divorce Announcement (Video)

Just days before the announcement of her divorce from Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert cried on stage during a performance of “The House That Built Me.”

The song, which she previously stated makes her emotional because it reminds her of her turbulent childhood, was originally written for Shelton to record. Just her boyfriend at the time, he gave her the song after realizing how much it resonated with her.

Although it's hard to see her face clearly in this video, you can see the singer wiping tears from her eyes and asking the audience to help her finish the song.

The couple had been together for 10 years (although only married for four), before announcing their divorce, which was finalized Monday.

In their statement, the couple wrote,

This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.
