Stan Musial is a name that will never be forgotten in the game of baseball. The Hall of Fame outfielder who played for the St. Louis Cardinals for 22 seasons passed away today. He was 92.

In an official press release, The Cardinals announced Musial’s passing. Stan died Saturday evening at his home in Ladue, Mo., surrounded by family.

The legendary outfielder won seven National League batting titles, three MVP awards and led the Cardinals to three World Series championships in the 1940s!

Musial was a .331 career hitter with 3,630 career hits, 475 home runs, and 1,951 career runs batted in.
