The latest installment of Paranormal Activity debuted at No.1 with $30.2 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.

It seems that movie-goers were in the mood for a scary movie ahead of Halloween later this month. Theaters around the country have reported sell out audiences, bringing in big numbers for the fourth installment of the series.

Despite the fact the movie is currently No. 1 , it is still a big drop from the $40 million and $50 million opening weekends of the last two installments
