All The Tears: Paris Hilton's Chihuahua, Tinkerbell, Sadly Passed Away

by Emily Arata

In the early 2000s, no one had yet thought of dressing up a tiny dog and stowing it in a luxury handbag.

Then, celebutante Paris Hilton's Chihuahua, Tinkerbell, came along.

Hilton, who purchased the pup in 2002, announced Tinkerbell's death yesterday after many long years of pampering and Swarovski crystal collars.

The dog, whom Hilton often carried under her arm to award shows and events, was a celebrity before anyone even knew dogs could be famous.

Hilton wrote,

We went through so much together. I can't believe she's gone. I will miss her & think about her for the rest of my life. I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten.

In honor of the dog's passing, Hilton uploaded a few old publicity shots of them together.

Unlike many dogs, Tinkerbell made quite the model.

Whether posing for Guess or appearing on "The Simple Life," Tinkerbell was Hilton's constant companion.

She led a life of luxury.

In Hilton's words, "She lived a long, beautiful, luxurious & exciting life."

And that's all any canine reality star can ask for.
