Petition To Deport Piers Morgan Over Gun Control Stance Gains Enough Signatures To Elicit White House Response
Ever since word has got out that the White House must lawfully pay some sort of attention to a petition with at least 25,000 signatures, lots of people have been taking full advantage of this rule to change their country for the better.
English TV personality Piers Morgan recently spoke out about his views on gun control and has come under fire by several gun-loving (sorry, freedom-loving) American citizens for his attempt to use his fame to try and change the second amendment.
The aforementioned citizens are so angry with Morgan that they have in fact drafted a petition to deport him, and this petition has actually acquired the minimum amount of signatures for White House attention.
The petition reads:
“British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens.”
If anything, this petition just worsens the already-terrible reputation of those who aren’t in favor of more gun control, since anyone who thinks the White House is actually going to deport someone over disagreeing with popular opinion is probably so stupid that they believe it’s acceptable to own a gun in 2013. Oh wait.
Remember that petition from Texas to secede from the nation because they hate black people so much? 120,000 signatures, and still nothing from the White House in response.
