Pharrell’s Documentary Shows How He Wants To Recycle Plastic Into Clothing

There are 700 million tons of plastic floating around in the ocean.

Let that number sink in. 700 million.

Pharrell and companies like Bionic Yarn and G-Star Raw are trying to do something about this massive problem.

They want to take that waste and turn it into fiber so it can be used to make clothing.

It’s a lofty project, and i-D magazine is making a documentary about it and it includes Pharrell’s efforts.

The full documentary, titled “The Plastic Age,” will be released on April 15, but for now, you can check out the trailer above.
