Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson have become the most recent pair to fall under the Bachelor curse, calling it quits after their nine-month relationship and televised engagement.

The couple reveals the pressure of their very public relationship eventually became too much to bare.

In an joint statement to In Touch magazine, the pair said: ‘After meeting over a year ago, we have decided to end our romantic relationship.

The ups and downs weighed heavily on us both and ultimately we started to grow apart because of the distance, time apart, and our need to focus on our respective careers.’
Earlier in the year, the couple decided to ‘take things slow’ after a failed attempt at living together, admitting that everything was moving too fast for Courtney and that they were focusing on dating instead of their engaged life in the spotlight.
